On this week’s episode of ETF Prime, Todd Rosenbluth, head of research at VettaFi, joins host Nate Geraci to review the major ETF milestones and most popular stories from the past month as the industry continues its record-breaking year.
Rosenbluth and Geraci highlighted that ETF inflows for 2025 have surpassed last year’s record of $1.15 trillion, reaching $1.16 trillion, with $43 billion coming in just last week, according to Rosenbluth. October set a monthly record, with $170 billion in inflows, bringing total ETF assets to approximately $13 trillion.
The industry also set a new record for ETF launches, with nearly 140 products debuting in October alone, according to Rosenbluth. This brings the year-to-date total to 923 new launches, easily surpassing last year’s record of 740.
Geraci and Rosenbluth discussed several firm-specific milestones, including Vanguard Group experiencing its best month ever, with over $50 billion in October inflows, led by its S&P 500 ETF (VOO). Capital Group is approaching $100 billion in assets less than four years after entering the ETF space, while smaller issuer Roundhill crossed $10 billion in assets.
The conversation also covered the five most popular stories on ETF Trends, with topics including nuclear energy ETFs, AI-focused strategies, and autocallable income products that are attracting investor attention.
