Ottawa police are investigating after a body was discovered near the Rideau River on Sunday afternoon.
A CTV Ottawa camera operator saw officers at the scene with a person under a tarp near the intersection of King Edward Avenue and Sussex Drive.
Ottawa Fire Services were called to the area for an ice rescue but were called off.
The age and identity of the person is unknown.
