A woman attending the Rolling Stones concert at BC Place died Friday night, police confirmed.
The individual went into medical distress due to a pre-existing health issue, Const. Tania Visintin with the Vancouver Police Department told CTV News.
“The cause of her death was not the result of a crime,” she wrote.
According to police, the deceased was 65 years old.
Visintin said the tragic incident happened before the Rolling Stones took the stage.
Paramedics were called to BC Place at 7:08 p.m. for “a person requiring medical care” at the venue, BC Emergency Health Services told CTV News.
Three ambulances were sent to the scene but paramedics did not take anyone to hospital.
A spokesperson for BC Place told CTV News it’s believed the woman suffered a heart attack. He said the venue’s medical team responded and performed emergency care until first responders arrived.
