An inmate who was wanted for being unlawfully-at-large after not returning to Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre in Yorkton has been found and arrested.
Staff noticed that Martin Oochoo, 36, was not present at the facility on Dec. 25 and reported the incident to police, according to a release from the Saskatchewan RCMP.
A warrant for Oochoo’s arrest was issued and Yorkton RCMP asked the public for help in finding him.
On Dec. 31, he was located and arrested by Saskatoon RCMP near Dundurn, Sask.
He appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Dec. 31.
