Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.91% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the rose 0.91% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the were Hafnia Ltd (OL:), which rose 2.88% or 1.65 points to trade at 58.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Frontline Ltd (OL:) added 2.57% or 4.80 points to end at 191.45 and SalMar ASA (OL:) was up 2.45% or 14.00 points to 585.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:), which fell 2.29% or 2.80 points to trade at 119.30 at the close. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:) declined 1.88% or 4.00 points to end at 209.00 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:) was down 1.67% or 2.00 points to 118.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 166 to 108 and 30 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.29% or 0.22 to $75.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.33% or 0.26 to hit $79.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 19.49 to trade at $2,751.41 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was unchanged 0.04% to 11.73, while USD/NOK rose 0.08% to 11.28.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.15.
